1" Material

Our authentic reclaimed wood is sourced from 100+ year old barns and buildings, dotting the back roads and small towns of Michigan. Decades of weathering and natural aging creates character that cannot be replicated.

Interior

Brown Board

Commonly used for the roof, interior walls and floors of the barns, our rough sawn brown boards have a very unique and beautiful patina. This look is developed from having been protected from the elements and naturally aging with no direct sunlight. Many times it will lead to a very rich brown color. The texture of the boards can be circle saw marks or a fuzzy sawn texture from old band saws. The floor boards will have a very rough look to one side from years of being walked on and worked. Brown board comes in tongue and groove, shiplap or straight edge boards. Widths from 5” up to 12”, sometimes wider, and lengths from 3 to 16 feet.

Weathered

Grey Siding

This material has never been painted or all traces of paint has been removed by years of exposure to the elements. The look of the wood can be a light to heavy texture depending on the age and weathering. Color will vary from dark grey, borderline black, to silver. Siding comes in tongue and groove, shiplap or straight edge boards. Widths from 5” up to 12”, sometimes wider, and lengths from 3 to 16 feet.

Chippy

White Siding

This material is off of barns that were painted white at some point. We see this often times with dairy barns. Many times we will see the white paint over the natural grey or a faded red color. Siding comes in tongue and groove, shiplap or straight edge boards. Widths from 5” up to 12”, sometimes wider, and lengths from 3 to 16 feet.

Faded

Red Siding

This material has been painted traditional barn red. Coloring will vary from grey with traces of red in the grain and knots to heavy red based on the location of the wood on the barn and how long ago it was painted. Siding comes in tongue and groove, shiplap or straight edge boards. Widths from 5” up to 12”, sometimes wider, and lengths from 3 to 16 feet.
